The Positron Group of Companies was established in Kalgoorlie in Western Australia in 1987 and its workforce has grown to over 550, with approximately 10% of its personnel undertaking Apprenticeships and Traineeships

The Group provides professional electrical, mechanical and hydraulic construction and maintenance services to the mining, resource and infrastructure sectors.

The Positron Group of Companies is a privately and wholly Australian owned Organisation with a budgeted annual turnover of in excess of AUD$130 m for the 2006 / 2007 Financial Year.

The Group consists of four (4) divisions which incorporate:

Positron Spliceline Pty Ltd

Positron Trident Pty Ltd

Positron Power Pty Ltd

Tripower Pty Ltd

The Group has offices throughout Australia in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

The Positron Group continues to grow and diversify and to maintain long-term and strengthening relationships with major clients who include Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Xtrata, Anglo Coal, Freeport Indonesia, Newcrest Mining, Leviathan Resources, Porgera JV (PNG), Transgrid and Delta Electricity.

In 2007 the Positron Group celebrates the provision of services to industry for 20 years.
